Prints, Puppets, and the Post-Scene Dream
Born out of Austin’s vibrant DIY music scene in 2021, My Puppet Friend began as a solo artist experimenting with sound, narrative, and visual identity. What started as a deeply personal music project soon expanded into something larger—an intersection of independent art and community support. Collaborating with Noiseland, a local rehearsal and recording space, My Puppet Friend launched an in-house screen printing and sticker operation that served a cross-section of Austin’s underground music scene. From designing merch for emerging bands to creating branded material for Noiseland itself, the project became a quiet player in the city’s creative ecosystem.
Now based in Los Angeles, My Puppet Friend is entering a new chapter. Reimagined as a multi-media project, it’s focused on producing audio-visual work that blends experimental sound design, narrative, and bold visual aesthetics. Still rooted in DIY values but looking ahead, My Puppet Friend is building a creative world that lives between music, art, and storytelling—an open-ended platform for what comes next.
